3xOsc (built into FL Studio) for the vocal layer, and NES VST for eeeeeverything else! (Drums are various C64 samples collected over the years)
Recently I've been trying to process each instrument less. So mostly no delay/reverb/compression, just clippers. π€
For context, here's the original song, which you should totally listen to. Actually, listen to the whole album please and thank you. π www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHr1...
Working on a new chiptune cover of a song by Frost* - they're a prog rock band I WISH more people knew about. I'm INSANELY OBSESSED with their new album π€©π€©π€©
Yeahhhh I knowwww, in the end itβs quite wise! Iβm just beinβ goofy (and I hope it didnβt come across as rude)
Rude of you to assume itβs about food π€ (though I am always hungryβ¦)
Anyway, Iβm going to do a Jenni by polling the internet and then ignoring the outcome π /t
You canβt just go to a fortune teller and be like βnope. donβt like that one. give better fortune plsβ! π
It told me no π But that was a thing I wanted to do. I guess it knows bestβ¦ π₯Ί
π΅ Chiptune cover of Muse's You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween π
π΅ (Internal) Server Error, a chiptune song I made in 2017
I wonder what the compression will do to the audio, but the super low-end at the start is something I'm very proud of π
HAHAHA oh my godddd Iβve seen this comic before but not the original photo, this is amazing π€£ Itβs so artsy, it deserves to be framed
A couple of years ago I was going to make an album about a space mission, kinda based on Voyager. The story is, we hear a signal coming from millions of miles away, so we launch a probe deep into outer space to find out what it means and where it came from. I'd still like to finish it one day.
π΅ An original chiptune song - "Orbit". I'll post the full song on YouTube later! (yeah, it's been sitting in a folder for ages π)
I also make chiptune music (mostly cover songs now)! Here's a snippet from a Muse cover song I made last year - they're what I'm most well-known for, as far as I can tell π
Last year I started a cover of Green Day's Holiday, which I still haven't finished and no one's heard yet, but I figured now would be a good place to show it π€©
I'll post some chiptune stuff soon too!

Thank you! π€© Iβm so glad you recognised the inspiration/influence, just hopefully it isnβt too obvious
Hello friends and new people! So glad you could make it. I make 8-bit/chiptune and progressive-pop music like this! π΅β¨
(woah, I haven't posted on social media in SO long.)
Today I spent some time zhuzh-ing up my music website (tombofry.co.uk, for context), because I realised a lot of the content was outdated, or didn't fit with my current writing style (specifically the commissions page).
I also improved my audio player web component, which I might release as a separate module on github, because it's pretty neat π€
Edit: I did it! https://github.com/TomboFry/audio-player-component
